Local iRead Program Seeks Volunteers to Help School Kids with Reading

Robbie, December 6, 2024December 7, 2024

In partnership with Champaign and Urbana schools and the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce, volunteers are wanted for the Spring 2025 the iRead Program to help kids with reading.

The program consists of matching volunteers with students in Champaign Urbana schools to help with one-on-one reading instruction. Visit this link for more information.

There is a great need in the schools today for students to receive extra help. If you can read this, it’s because you received reading instruction. Applications for the program are currently open until January, 24, 2025.

For many students in the iCount program, this is the only opportunity for one-on-one math support. Again, the link for the application is here.
