The University of Illinois Library’s Edible Book Festival is back!! In the years past, you have been able to eat the creations, but according to the event website, this year the creations will NOT be consumed, per public health requirements. It is in the southeast hallway behind Common Ground Food Coop.
So you can look, but you can’t eat.
That’s so sad!!! But probably for the best, especially considering that they are out on display while hundreds of people walk by them and then dozens of people eat them.
Anyways, Common Ground Food Coop will have treats, and the model train show is also going on in Lincoln Square Mall at the same time. And according to the model train show’s event website, the new Hotel Royer should be open. I guess there’s only one way to find out!
