On Saturday, February 22nd, the University of Illinois Department of Entomology will host their 42 Annual Insect Fear Film Festival.
Featuring horrific films and horrific film making. It doesn’t get any better than this, folks!
The idea behind the film festival is to learn about insects and poke some fun at outdated filmmaking techniques.
This year’s theme – “Tarantulas: Hairy, Scary Spiders” (not insects)
Featuring the film “Arachnophobia” from 1990. I remember this film from my childhood, although it has been a very long time since I have even heard it mentioned.
Doors open at 5p and the film starts around 7p.
The event will include live insects and much more!
