Mentoring is a really positive opportunity to engage in the local community, and Champaign Urbana has an excellent mentoring program named CU One to One.
The program matches volunteer mentors with children in the Champaign Urbana schools. Mentors and kids meet regularly to chat, have lunch, and work on school work.
Mentors can build important connections with the students to help them grow and succeed in school.
